Press Release

CHIMEI named as 2010 Taiwan Superior Brand

CHIMEI has garnered impressive results in brand management in recent years. In addition to winning the Trusted Brand Gold Award and being voted No.1 in Taiwan’s Ideal Brands for two years running, yesterday (August 23) CHIMEI received yet another distinction by capturing the title of 2010 Taiwan Superior Brand Title from the Bureau of Foreign Trade.
CHIMEI’s Brand Business President Cheng Liang-Bing pointed out that winning the award is a major acknowledgement for CHIMEI’s effort to promote its brand name in recent years, and the award will be a solid foundation for CHIMEI to rise to become one of Taiwan’s “Top 10 International Brands” in the near future. More than four years have passed since CHIMEI established its brand name, and “brand mindshare” and “customer satisfaction” have always been prime indicators for CHIMEI’s brand operation. CHIMEI is guided by its brand spirit of delivering quality products at affordable prices and offering the best value in its entire operation, starting from product design to after sales services, in order to achieve “product innovation” and “quality enhancement”. As a superior brand name, CHIMEI maintains a sustained commitment to consumer satisfaction.
The 2010 Taiwan Superior Brand Nomination marks the 7th time the event has been held. It was hosted by TAITRA and commissioned by the Bureau of Foreign Trade. Experts and scholars were invited as the panel of jurors to choose winning Taiwan Superior Brands from the candidate corporations based on five major criteria, including: financial standing, brand performance, brand establishment, brand strategies and corporate competitive advantages. The objective of the event is to encourage domestic businesses in Taiwan to be more committed to the development of their original brands. A total of 70 candidates were chosen from eight different sectors to participate in this year’s event and only 17 businesses emerged as winners.
